Provide training and refresher courses on safety procedures.
These training seminars are mandatory and should always be one of the first things new workers have to undergo before officially entering the workplace. Depending on the nature of the work, employees must receive a briefing on how to handle dangerous equipment or materials. Educate your employees about Worker Rights under OSHA.
When your workers know their rights, they can look out for each other’s safety and security in the workplace. Make sure that all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) meets standards.

Update and maintain safety signs in the workplace.
It’s important that all workers are educated about proper PPE signs and meanings are found in the proper areas of the workplace. Make sure that all these markers and labels are completely visible and protected from wear and tear.
Conduct regular checks to see if all PPE signs are well-placed and discernible at all times, and immediately update them when necessary.
Always be open to employee feedback.
The workers experience the dangers of the daily activities first-hand. It is the employer’s responsibility not only to provide the training and equipment to guarantee a safe environment for everyone but also to listen to the workers’ concerns and suggestions on how to improve the safety and security of everyone.
